Putin accepts resignation of St Pete’s Governor Poltavchenko
MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignation of St. Petersburg’s Governor Georgy Poltavchenko at his own request, the president’s press service said on Wednesday.
Putin appointed Alexander Beglov as the city’s acting governor.
Beglov has served as presidential envoy to the Northwest Federal District since December 2017.
Putin also offered Poltavchenko the post of the board of directors’ chairman at the United Shipbuilding Corporation.
